Asus 4×4 AC3100 (PCE-AC88) PCI Adapter Updated Review 2021.
Asus 4×4 AC3100 (PCE-AC88): It’s the first 4×4 802.11ac PCI adapter on the market, giving you improved Wi-Fi reception and when paired with a 4×4 router the full performance potential of 4×4 Wi-Fi!
Its NitroQAM™ (1024-QAM) technology delivers combined wireless speeds of up to 2100Mbps on the 5GHz band and 1000Mbps on the 2.4GHz band.
It can easily get hot inside of a system, especially for an add-in card that might be wedged between graphics cards.
It gives the card improved stability and reliability for connections when running bandwidth-intensive network tasks in hot environments and it also gives the system some extra style over a bare-looking PCB.
Despite all the features, both the heat-sink and four antenna mounts, the PCE-AC88 is still small enough to be used in small form factor systems (SFF).
It comes with an included SFF bracket that will make it compatible with those smaller systems too.
Firstly, the Asus 4×4 AC3100 (PCE-AC88) includes extension cables for its detachable antennas, plus a magnetized antenna base that can be attached to any suitable surface – horizontal or vertical.
The stylish, customized heatsink is crafted for non-stop operation, giving you improved stability and reliability for connections when running bandwidth-intensive network tasks in hot environments.
NitroQAM (1024-QAM) technology gives PCE-AC88 Wi-Fi speeds of up to 2100 Mbps (5 GHz) and 1000 Mbps (2.4 GHz)
- 4 x R SMA Antennas
- 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz Dual-Band Frequencies

- Dual-band 4×4 AC3100 Wi-Fi speeds up to 2100Mbps (5GHz band) & 1000Mbps (2.4GHz Band)
- External magnetic antenna base allows flexible antenna placement to maximize coverage
- Custom heatsink effectively dissipates heat for improved stability and reliability
- R-SMA antenna connectors enable compatibility with a variety of aftermarket antennas
Flexible Antenna Placement
This makes it incredibly easy to find the best antenna location for optimum signal quality in addition, the antenna is magnetic so you could, for example, place it on the side of your chassis.
