JBL is a well-known and trusted brand when it comes t audio and they have plenty of Bluetooth earphones, headphones, and speakers for you to choose from. Today we are reviewing some of JBL earbuds designed for sporty people that want lots of features but still need their earphones t to be able to take lots of abuse

JBL has a solid reputation as a manufacturer of high-quality audio products, including earbuds. Let’s examine more closely several of the best JBL wireless earbuds in different styles for different situations, to help you choose which model is most appropriate for your needs.
You may already be an expert in earbuds design, in which case you can certainly skip to the next section to check out the various models. But JBL earbuds have developed some innovations with specific descriptive terms. We’ll explain most of these below.
JBL Tune 220TWS Earbuds
With the Tune 220TWS, JBL extends their range to include wireless EarBuds that support Bluetooth standard 5.0, allow intuitive control of Android and iOS devices, and, thanks to their special fit, do not cause a feeling of pressure even in sensitive ears.

Since these headphones are worn in the pinna and not inside your ear canal like many other in-ear systems, your ear canal is relieved of pressure; this means that you don’t feel any pressure even during prolonged use.
Device Control
The Tune 220TWS is paired directly upon removal from the transport case, when the system is automatically switched on and put into pairing mode; returning to the charging case causes the system to automatically switch off.
The right bud, which acts as the master, can be also be used in single mode, and manual switching on and off is enabled by a long press on the button.

If a wireless connection exists, the button on the right is also used to control playback as well as to answer and end telephone calls. Voice assistants such as Siri, Google Assistant, or Bixby can be called by double-clicking the same button.
On the left side, track selection is enabled by pressing once to jump forward and twice to jump back. These controls react reliably and without delay.
JBL Tune 220TWS Earbuds Sound
There was a high clarity to the sound image of these headphones, it was bright and was characterized by present but unobtrusive highs.
Only at high levels was there a tendency to exaggerate sibilants, but no unpleasant harshness was perceptible.
The reproduction of vocals and voices was pleasing and lively; the quality of spoken content fell into a similar realm to that which you would expect from in-ears.
From my point of view, the only limitations were found when listening to bass-oriented productions with depth, because the bass foundation sounds well defined, but doesn’t go very deep.
JBL LIVE 300 TWS Review
The JBL LIVE 300 TWS are perfectly fine earbuds, but the experience is nothing of note.
The plastic charging case pops open but its hinge mechanism doesn’t feel nearly as sturdy or sound nearly as satisfying as the Google Pixel Buds (2020).

The inside of the case houses two cutouts for the earbuds, which require precision to properly place, a manual pairing button, and a small LED battery indicator.
Externally, an LED ring light encompasses the USB-C input and slowly blinks white when the earbuds are charging
How does the JBL LIVE 300 TWS Sound?
The earbuds sound pretty good, and have a more subdued bass emphasis than I expected: bass notes are 1.5-2 times louder than midrange notes, which is normal for consumer-grade headsets.
Similar to the JLab GO Air, the LIVE 300 TWS is tuned to vaguely follow ISO226:2003. In other words, the buds attempt to reproduce every note at the same perceived loudness; this is different from emitting sound waves at the same pressure.
The problem with this tuning is that it assumes the audio engineers didn’t previously apply corrections to the recordings.
Theoretically, this means that properly amplified bass notes are rendered too loud, and this kind of frequency response can and does result in auditory masking.
JBL Reflect Flow Explained
The JBL Reflect Flow is the company’s latest IPX7-rated true wireless earphones for sports. It comes with a 5.8mm drive as well as JBL’s signature sound profile. With that, you can expect outstanding sounds for all music genres.

Although the earphones are quite large, the Reflect Flow has a lightweight build and only weighs 85g. They feature the usual shark fins or wingtips to fit your ears properly.
Since the earphones are rated IPX7, you can submerge the Reflect Flow in the water. Although this is the case, we still don’t recommend that you swim while using them.
But technically, these can handle submersion of up to a meter without any problems. Do note that the case isn’t waterproof, so slipping in wet earphones will likely break it.
When it comes to the charging case, it’s compact and measures 1.1 x 3.3 x 1.5″ (H x W x D). It gives you a sturdy feel with its flip-top lid and status LEDs beneath the micro USB charging port.

JBL Reflect Flow Device Control
The pairing of the Reflect Flow, which supports Bluetooth standard 5.0, takes place automatically with removal from the case, by switching the system on and putting it into pairing mode. The headphones can also be returned to the charger to switch them off.

Alternatively, the buttons integrated into the surface can be held down for a long tap to switch them on and off manually. Since the right headphone functions as the master, it can also be used in a single mode.
Frequently Asked Question
Are JBL earbuds good?
Overall these JBL earbuds are great at what they do and that is play music or videos, and phone calls. All in all, these are a good buy if you want something reliable and easy to use. There is a lot to like and very little to dislike.
Is JBL better than AirPods?
The JBL Free Truly Wireless 2018 are slightly better truly wireless headphones than the Apple AirPods 1 Truly Wireless 2017 when they have a stable connection. The JBL has a more isolating in-ear fit that will be better for noisy environments and a bit more stable for running and working out.
